Description: The Mark V diving helmet is the classical helmet that everyone thinks about when they envision a diving helmet. In 1912 the US Navy assigned a diver, Gunner George D. Stillson to research, design, test, and evaluate diving equipment and procedures. This research led to the Mark V being produced in 1916 through 1984.
