The typical manticore is a vicious predator with the body of a lion, the head of a man, and the tail of a scorpion or dragon. Later modern depictions sometimes now add dragon wings. They support the throne of god and endure as symbols of divinity, sovereignty, royalty and divine authority. This work depict them with their usual six wings and many eyes along with a ring of fire around the central eye which looks upward to heaven.

Description: A hand drawn and written circular shield depicting the phrase timete Ignota, (Latin for 'fear the unknown') adorning an image of a werecrane. The werecrane is a cursed fusion of a human and a stalk like bird. Beyond that there is little to know because I completely made it up. All the more reason to fear it.
