Description: This is a drawing I have done from a popular Inari shrine festival mask depicting the fox messenger to Inari.

Description: This particular image was drawn from panel on a 10th century Norman Casket that I saw in a museum collection. The casket featured somewhere around 100 individual knot work images carved on it... All of which were zoomorphic.

Description: Yeah, I know. Kind of a long winded design title. But it is just as the title suggests. This particular design is one I created from an artifact housed at the Seattle Art Museum. The artifact is a cedar casket with a blue bear design painted prominently at its center. This image is one I designed from that artifact, and painted on one of the panels of a blanket box that I had made for myself.

Description: The Edo style was very unique to that period. The textiles were at there most magnificent and the metal smithing was at its absolute best... One of Japans great renaissance periods. This design comes from an antique firemans jacket.

Description: The one, the only, the legendary Josephine Baker. I could do a hundred portraits of her and not get tired of her lovely face. She was a true character.

Description: This is an illustration of an antique Inari Temple flyer from turn of the 20th century. This particular temple burned to the ground many decades ago and no longer exists as it does in the flyer art. Look closely at the area above the foxes heads. It shows the old temple complex :)

Description: This rabbit drawing was done from a sketch I did while I was in Japan back in 2009. When I was there, I visited a kite museum that had many very beautiful Edo era kites. A wonderful art form.
