Description: I had to paint not one but two Nic Cage portraits, capturing both the younger and brasher Nic Cage as Goliath (his decapitated head in the foreground) and the older, quieter, more contemplative Nicolas Cage in the background, taking the place of David, slaying his younger, larger self. I mean, if this doesn’t scream Cage, I don’t know what does. The themes of the original hold, and even the inscription on the sword, H-AS OS, an abbreviation of the Latin phrase “humilitas occidit superbiam” or “humility kills pride” is something I felt Cage has been capturing in his recent movie renaissance.
Description: Saint Elon can take you from 200 sins to absolved in under 3 seconds while being environmentally friendly. I don't recommend the auto-pray function though. That still has a few bugs to work out. Saint Elon is the latest installment in my Modern Saints Series. Hand painted entirely in Photoshop from scratch, no photographs, textures or other images were used, except for the background which is taken from one of my original acrylic paintings.
