One of my favourite spots to photograph in New York City. If you are in New York, Check out the Vessel. a tourist attraction in Manhattan's Hudson Yards neighborhood. Vessel is a structure and visitor attraction built as part of the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project in New York City. This view is inside the vessel at night. The stair levels provided a series of interesting geometric shapes for this photograph.

Love the colour in this coastal scene. Discovered these fishing boats and lobster traps at Murray Harbour in Prince Edward Island Canada. The traps are loaded on the wharf for 'set day' - the start of the lobster season. There are two lobster seasons on PEI. This stairway is part of the architecture found inside the Canadian Niagara Power Plant. The first major power plant on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, CNP was completed in 1905 to produce hydroelectricity by using the power of the Niagara River. It was decommissioned in 2006 and acquired by Niagara Parks in 2009. Presently closed to the public, Niagara Parks plans to transform the historic Canadian Niagara Power Generating Station into a landmark attraction and multi-use visitor space.

Monarch Butterfly, (Danaus plexippus) ,newly emerged from chrysailis. Monarch butterflies are an iconic species, easily recognized by their large and vibrant orange wings. The brilliantly-coloured Monarch is a summer breeder in many areas of southern Canada, and most Canadian-born adults head to the highlands of central Mexico to overwinter. It takes four generations of Monarchs to make it to Canada during the spring migration. The fourth generation is different and can live up to nine months, and this is the one that needs to find milkweed in your yard. These are also the butterflies that will migrate south for winter to either Mexico or southern California.

The enclave of homes at Grimsby Beach on Lake Ontario, come in a rainbow of colours, including pink, green, yellow, blue and purple – sometimes all of them on the same house. The buildings date back to the late 1800s when they were first used as summer cottages.

White-breasted Nuthatches are agile birds that creep along trunks and large branches, probing into bark furrows with their straight, pointed bills. They will easily visit bird feeders for nuts, sunflower seeds, suet, and peanut butter.
