Our vineyard, homestead, art gallery and cellar door in the centre of the Fleurieu Peninsula is nestled back from B34, the main road from Hahndorf to Willunga Hill. We are half way from Adelaide to Victor Harbor. Our vines, organically grown since 2013 have been under a restoration process and are now producing premium fruit. 5 different winemakers purchase our fruit. A widespread and common species found in Mt Lofty Ranges & Adelaide Plains, Eyre Peninsula, Flinders Ranges, Kangaroo Island, Murray Valley, South East, Yorke Peninsula - great numbers in flooded grassland or marshes. In his 20's my husband built a cottage in the Grampians on a 40 acre property in natural scrub. The view from the front windows is a majestic scene of the Northern Grampians hill face which would catch the light in the morning. Family stayed from time to time over the years. It had no electricity - it was always an adventure going to visit. The Grampians in Victoria offers the most wonderful bush walks..... we often went in winter and would see no one for a week..... I went for the first time at 19..... the next generation also have fond memories of this place. I was painting a family portrait on a property near Inman Valley in South Australia 4' x 6'- a great portion of the family portrait included the scenery on the property...... pleinair painting one day, a neighboring farmer approached me and insisted I should see his tree....a magnificent specimen in the middle of a paddock... finger tip to finger tip it would take 15 peoples arm spans round the base.
