Description: The Great Lakes Engineering Works (GLEW) was a leading shipbuilding company with a shipyard in Ecorse, Michigan, that operated between 1902 and 1960. Within three years of its formation, it was building fifty percent of the tonnage of all ships in the Great Lakes. During World War II, GLEW was commissioned by Pittsburgh Steamship Company and the U.S. Maritime Commission to build twenty-one ore freighters. Its innovations included the first self-unloader freighter, SS Wyandotte. GLEW is best known for its construction of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald.

Description: The Vento system shipyards, also known as the Vento shipyards, were ancient shipyards that were located within the Core Worlds' Vento system and lay on the super-hyperroute known as the Perlemian Trade Route. The shipyards were used by the Galactic Republic during the Great Sith War—a conflict waged by the forces of the Sith sect against the Republic—and came under a Sith attack during their first offensive wave. During the final stages of the war, the Human Sith Lord Ulic Qel-Droma attempted to force a Republic military officer to transmit orders to the Republic fleet instructing all the fleet's starships to arrive at the coordinates of the Vento system shipyards—an action that would cause the destruction of many Republic vessels.

Description: V'ger was a massive entity and one of the most extraordinary lifeforms ever encountered by the United Federation of Planets. It generated enormous levels of power and threatened Earth with destruction until it found a way to evolve. V'ger chose its own name. Before the name of the vessel was discovered, Starfleet personnel referred to the ship as "the intruder".
Description: The Sluis Van Shipyards were a series of orbital shipbuilding complexes stationed over the planet Sluis Van. The facility was considered to be the best of its kind in the Outer Rim Territories. However, because the Sluissi found shipbuilding to be akin to a form of art (in addition to their rather ponderous system of bureaucracy), they were also considered to be one of the slowest shipyards in the galaxy. The shipyards were at one point built up to encompass an entire world, similar to the Kuat Drive Yards and Mon Calamari Shipyards of later millennia.
Description: BlasTech Industries was one of the galaxy's top three arms manufacturers, with Merr-Sonn and SoroSuub being its main competitors. BlasTech was the market leader in the manufacture of personal energy weapons and light artillery. BlasTech was most famous for its blaster weapons, though the company also manufactured a number of starship weapons including turbolasers, ion cannons and missiles.

In addition to her naval career, which included sinking the Japanese aircraft carrier Unryū, she made several film appearances in the 1950s. Redfish arrived at Pearl Harbor on 27 June 1944. Departing 23 July, she sank the 5,953-ton Japanese cargo ship Batopaha Maru on 25 August, the 7,311 ton tanker Ogura Maru Number Two on 16 September, and the 8,506 ton transport Mizuho Maru on 21 September, all off Formosa, before arriving at Midway Island on 2 October.

Founded sometime before 300 BBY, it was acquired as a subsidiary of the Tagge Company in the years before the Clone Wars, and Gowix became a staunch supporter of the Galactic Republic and later the Galactic Empire, under its new parent company. However, privateer raids sanctioned by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War eventually forced Chief Executive Officer Gohn Danfeil to relocate the company to the planet Corulag.
Description: Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, officially Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF), is a United States Navy shipyard covering 179 acres on Puget Sound in Bremerton, Washington. The base has been in uninterrupted use since its establishment in 1891. It is the Pacific Northwest's largest naval shore facility and one of Washington state's largest industrial installations. PSNS & IMF provides the Navy with maintenance, modernization, and technical and logistics support, and employs 15,000 people which makes it the largest public shipyard in terms of personnel assigned. Approximately 25% of the shipyard's workload involves inactivation, reactor compartment disposal, and recycling of ships.

One of the ancient Founding Shipwrights, it was the primary supplier of ships to the Republic Navy for millennia until it was eclipsed in the final centuries of the Galactic Republic by Kuat Drive Yards. StarDrive was associated with companies such as Rendili Vehicle Corporation, Rendili/Vaufthau Shipyards LTD., and Rendili-Surron. Rendili Star Systems was apparently a subsidiary of Rendili StarDrive.

Description: Golan Arms was a company that produced the DF.9 turret placement, a model of fixed laser cannon emplacement. During the Galactic Civil War, the Alliance to Restore the Republic used Golan DF.9s on the planet Hoth during its fight against the Galactic Empire there. Golan Arms also produced the SP.9, a mobile artillery piece utilized by the Imperial Artillery Corps of the Galactic Empire.
Description: Juggerhead was the code-name of the Imperial-owned naval yards at Bestine IV which were the secret site of research and development on the TIE torpedo. Bestine IV was chosen by the Galactic Empire as the site of new, high-security naval shipyards in 3 BBY. Unlike most naval yards, this was to be located directly on the water of Bestine instead of in a zero-gravity environment. Although the shipyard to all outward appearances manufactured shells for Acclamator-class assault ships, it was in reality conducting research and development on the TIE torpedo.
Description: Telgorn Corporation was the manufacturer of a number of space stations and a large line of small transports in addition to jolt cells around the time of the Galactic Civil War. They produced things for both the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic. It is possible that Kost & Ko Factories entered a joint venture with the Telgorn Corporation over the design and manufacture of the X7 Deep Space Manufacturing Facility, or at least licensed the right to produce it to the larger company.
Description: SoroSuub Corporation was a Sullust-based company whose tech division developed and manufactured a great variety of technological goods, from droids and sensors to weapons and vehicles. The company was owned by the even larger Commerce Guild, a conglomerate of retailers, arms manufacturers, agricorps, and other service providers. During the Clone Wars, SoroSuub's Sullustan Home Guard, led by Admiral Dua Ningo, threw its support behind the armed forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, as part of the Commerce Guild's arrangement, and was charged with defending both the Sullust sector and the company's interests.
Description: The Bothan Spynet was a well-organized intelligence network that was active during the time of the Galactic Civil War. A Kupohan named Sakhet occasionally did contract work for the Bothan spynet, running a small noodle hut as a front of her intelligence services. The members of the spynet found out about the location of the Second Death Star for the Rebel Alliance to prepare their assault on Death Star II, despite suffering heavy casualties.
