Description: Our Lady of the Snows is one of the oldest Marian devotions. In 325 AD, she appeared to a wealthy, childless Roman couple in a dream and told them that she wanted a church built in her honor, and that the site she wanted it built on would be covered in snow. On the morning of August 5, a very hot day, the people of Rome (where it very rarely snows) awoke to find Esquiline Hill was covered with snow. It was proclaimed a miracle, and a church was built on the site in 358 AD.
Description: Scenes from the classic Russian fairy tale are depicted in this whimsical illustration. On the right, the wicked stepmother orders her husband to take his daughter to the forest and leave her there to die. In the center, the girl receives gifts from Morozko. Magical snowflakes from Morozko's staff dance around the borders.
Description: In Native American folklore, Deer Woman is a shape-shifting spirit. She is a helper and protector of woman, sometimes aiding in fertility and childbirth. She also appears in human form at dances, and will lure men who are abusive to women into the forest, where she either gets them lost and leaves them for dead, drives them mad, or stomps them to death with her hooves, which she has even in human form. The border of this illustration is a pattern derived from traditional Ojibwe embroidery. "Deer Woman" is the fifth illustration in my Fairy Tale Fashion series.
Description: Inspired by the German folktale "Aschenputtel", and other versions of the Cinderella story. Cinderella stands beneath the trees, with two doves helping her dress for the ball. Her gown is made of silver, gold, precious gems and pearls. An enchanted pumpkin patch surrounds the scene, with four white mice hiding amongst the vines. This is the second illustration in my Fairy Tale Fashion series.
Description: In Slavic folklore the Firebird is a magical glowing bird from a far-off land, who can bring either blessings or doom to its captor. But what if the Firebird were not a bird at all, but a beautiful woman? In this illustration she is just that. The Firebird stands triumphantly holding a golden apple from the king's tree. The vines encircling the illustration represent the king's garden. This is the first illustration in my Fairy Tale Fashion series.

Amber is the stone of the zodiac signs Taurus and Leo, and is an alternate November birthstone. It represents eternal love, life and youth. It is also said to have many healing properties.
Description: Cavansite Faerie is responsible for growing and distributing Cavansite throughout the world. Cavansite is a rare mineral and has many uses in crystal healing, including enhancing the intuition and communication, enhancing feelings of happiness, soothing frazzled nerves, and shielding healers and empaths from negative energies. It has many physical healing properties as well. It is associated with the throat and third eye chakras, the element Air, and the zodiac sign Aquarius.

Description: Meranda is a beautiful, sweet mermaid who lives in the Great Barrier Reef. She is friends with all the ocean creatures, but usually hides from people. She allowed me to paint her portrait as an appeal to humans to make more of an effort to keep the waters of the earth clean - not only to help her and her friends, but to help ourselves as well.
