Description: The Sonoran Desert is a unique eco system which covers parts of Arizona, California and Mexico. It is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, some not found anywhere else. The Sonoran Desert Cactus Faerie represents the Saguaro Cactus in bloom. If you meet her, you will probably think you are just seeing a saguaro cactus, but in this illustration you can see her true form. She is surrounded by her friends, Lesser Long-nosed Bat, Elf Owl, Prickly Pear Cactus, Barrel Cactus and Crimson Hedgehog Cactus.
Description: Arianrhod is a Welsh goddess of the Moon and the stars. She lives in Caer Sidi, a revolving castle near the North Star. The lights from her castle are the Aurora Borealis. She is also a goddess of prophecy, dreams, resurrection and new beginnings. She can shape shift into an owl. In owl form, she can see into the darkness of the human subconscious and soul.
Description: The Deadly Nightshade Faerie tends to her deadly, but very cute, nightshade plants. Also known as Atropa Belladonna, this beautiful plant is extremely poisonous to humans and many animals. Ingesting the berries or the foliage can be fatal. Some animals, such as cattle, horses, sheep and goats, can eat it without experiencing any problems. As you may expect, this plant has been used as poison for centuries, but it also has some medicinal applications, and has even been used in cosmetics!
Description: Rose Quartz Faerie cultivates weeping rose quartz trees, and distributes rose quartz throughout the world. It is an alternate birthstone for January and October, and represents zodiac signs Scorpio, Libra and Taurus. It has been know throughout history as a symbol of love and beauty.
Description: Through the keyhole you can see Alice walking through Wonderland, meeting the Cheshire Cat. Characters from Wonderland inhabit the borders, including the Caterpillar and White Rabbit. Many skeleton keys also float around the keyhole - one of them can unlock the door, to free Alice. But which one? "Alice" is the fourth illustration in my Fairy Tale Fashion Series.
Description: Lisa Patrikeyevna is a fox, a character that frequently appears in Russian fairytales and folklore. She is usually something of a trickster, sly and cunning. Oftentimes she is at odds with a male wolf, who is the victim of her tricks. Other times, she is involved with (and sometimes getting married to) other creatures. The border of this illustration was inspired by a type of Russian folk art known as khokhloma.

Description: Our Lady of Ostrabrama, also known as Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn, is a painting of the Virgin Mary that was originally located above the gate to the city of Vilnius, Lithuania. Many miracles have been attributed to the Virgin Mary through this image, including numerous healings, subduing a city fire in 1706, help in obtaining victory in battle in 1702, and many others. The icon now resides in the Chapel of the Gate of Dawn in Vilnius. Her feast day is celebrated by Catholics on November 16, and by the Eastern Orthodox Church on January 8.
Description: A mandala featuring the Slavic witch Baba Yaga, her hut on chicken legs surrounded by a fence of human skulls and bones, mushrooms, and her pets (cat, raven, owl). Autumn leaves swirl around her as she flies on her mortar and pestle. Two sayings associated with her and her hut are also written in Russian ("Foo, foo! I smell a a Russian smell!" and the poem to make the hut turn around so that you can enter it).

Amethyst is the traditional birthstone for February, and is the gemstone for zodiac sign Pisces, and the 6th wedding anniversary. It symbolizes piety, humility, sincerity and spiritual wisdom.
Description: Gingerbread dachshunds playing outside their chocolate gingerbread house, surrounded by gingerbread pine trees and gumdrop bushes. They play with peppermint candies, and a gingerbread rabbit and squirrel. The path leading to the door of the house is made of bone-shaped dog biscuits.
Description: Diva Dachshund is all dressed up in her witch costume to go trick or treating. But she gets more than she bargained for - there’s a full moon this Halloween night, and the veil is thin. Ghosts, vampire bats, leaves and mushrooms, deadly spiders, creepy trees... she encounters them all, but somehow manages to make it home safely with a treat, only to collapse in exhaustion on her pillow. Hopefully she’s having sweet dreams!
Description: Rose-Marie is a fashion illustration inspired by the imperial Faberge Rose Trellis Egg from 1907, and Marie Antoinette. The egg was an Easter gift from Tsar Nicholas II to his wife, Alexandra Fyodorovna, and is made of green enamel with pink enamel roses and gold vines, and a latticework covered with rose-cut diamonds, with a large portrait diamond on either end of the egg.
