Description: Plastic is one of the least eco-friendly or "kind" materials, if not THE least. So it puzzles me when otherwise eco-conscious, lefty people go for "vegan leather" (plastic) over materials like linen or wool, which are durable and sustainable. Blocks are, in order: an oil slick, a war over petroleum, factory smoke/plastic ingestion by sea life, and a tar pit trapping a saber-toothed cat.
Description: Redesign of a painting from a few years ago. Designing around both black and white is really tough, and the first version had the line art white so I could make the rings black, but I thought that looked a jarring so I read it. Meanings of symbols: Black rings are worn on the right middle finger to signal to other aces, the cards are a pun on the word "ace," the white triangle is a symbol commonly seen on AVEN representing low/no sexual attraction, and the dragons are the community's way of having fun with the "that's not real!!!" complaint
Description: This is the new flag gaining popularity now since the shades of pink lesbian flag is hard to make in fiber, was only designed with femme/lipstick lesbians in mind, and had some other problems. I love this way of representing the flags because even if someone doesn't know what the colors mean, the symbols clue them in. Also, it gives me a great opportunity as an artist to bring up some LGBTQ history. The naval star is an old queer code - butches used to have it tattooed on one wrist as a signal and hidden under a broad watch band.
Description: Originally a sketch I drew in about an hour to keep myself from unpacking and repacking my suitcase for a seventh time, I redrew it large enough for stickers per request. Thanks for all the unexpected love! Maybe in future years I can add that year's name list to the back, to honor our lost siblings
Description: So I was playing around on my LGBTQ symbols document and came up with a new way to represent the pride flags. I love how it turned out! These are going to take some more in-depth knowledge of each community to create for other flags, so some may take awhile, but I'm working on adding more like this.

Description: The irony is not lost on me that I’m selling a design like this, but there's no ethical consumption under capitalism anyway - so may as well support an artist and activist. I'm not sure where the "more than just subsistence" slogan came from. It just sort of took up residence in my brain and nagged me until I did something with it. Art be like that sometimes.
Description: Now with the more minimal design! There's a very confrontational feel to the word "queer" because of its messy history. It's a little bold and a little in-your-face and sometimes I think we, as a community, really need that. Especially in times like these when our lives, families, and rights are threatened, we need people who're willing to be confrontational. (I've once again been seduced by the the light-on-dark color scheme.)
Description: Each letter portrays a major theme/motif/symbol in the play. H - extremes and duality. Quintessence of dust vs. how like an angel, fertility vs. chastity and denial, love vs. sorrow. A - death and damnation. There aren't a lot of mentions of Heaven, but there are many for Hell. M - flowers. Ophelia's flower scene and the garland she drowns in sum up many key points and character realtionships using flower language. L - mistreatment of women. E - fate and destiny, often associated with stars. T - rot and decay.
