Those are words from the song Shout to the Lord by Darlene Zschech, that I hope will Bless you today. “Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” Psalm 8:9 Let us praise Him today!
Description: Matthew 5:13 says, "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot". Jesus called his believers the salt of the earth during his Sermon on the Mount. Salt was added flavor and stopped food from rotting. Believers are meant to bring goodness, truth, and positive change to the world. Salt mixed with impurities can lose its strength. If it loses its use, it is thrown away. As Christians we must live out their faith genuinely. If we act just like the world, we lose our unique spiritual influence. Be Salty!
Description: Find a quiet place. Take a moment to breathe. Connect with the creator of the universe. He cares for you. He wants the best for you, and He has something to say to you. In that quiet moment of stillness, don’t forget to listen. Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Thank you Lord for times of reflection and closeness with you.
Description: The Best is Yet to Come! 1 Corinthians 2:9 in the Living Bible tells us that “...no man has ever seen, heard, or even imagined what wonderful things God has ready for those who love the Lord.” Trust in the Lord. Stay steadfast and live your life for Him. He has wonderful things planned for you! I pray that we would remain hopeful in the knowledge that the Best is Yet to Come!
Description: Are you on the right path? “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21 God has a plan for you and knows the way for you to go in every situation. Listen for His voice leading you and do His will for your life. Be Blessed and be a Blessing to others!
Description: Jesus sacrificed everything for You and me! It was the only way we could be saved. “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 He did it all for you. Get to know Him better today!
Description: What is faith? It is confidence and trust that God will keep His promises. You can’t do it on your own, but you don’t have to. Lean on the Lord and He will empower you to do mighty things! “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 But reading this or hearing a good sermon isn’t enough. Jesus told us that “...everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” Matthew 7:24-25
Description: God will Bless America if we trust in Him! “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31 I pray that we will be Blessed and that we will be a Blessing to others!
Description: The world needs a Hero and YOU ARE THAT HERO! Jesus tells us in John 14:12 “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these…” God wants to empower you to do His work on this earth. He wants you to be His hands and feet to those in need. God wants to Bless you, so that you can be a Blessing to others. Be a Super Hero and give your life to something bigger than yourself.
Description: Let us have the heart of the Lion of Judah and let us serve the King of all kings. C.S. Lewis reminds us in The Chronicles of Narnia that Aslan is “not a tame lion.” Our GOD certainly is not! And we are called to follow in His footsteps and be courageous. We are called to honor the King of all kings. Proverbs 28:1 tells us that: “The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.” I pray that we would be BOLD in our faith while being a Blessing to others!
Description: Are you a little bit different? Romans 12:2 tells us “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” We are called to be set apart through the power of God. “We are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory…” 2 Corinthians 3:18 Help us Lord to look more like you and more like the person you want us to be.
Description: Are we halfway there? I’m not sure, but we certainly should be Livin’ on a Prayer. Romans 12:12 reminds us to “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” My prayer for us all is that we would keep knocking, keep seeking and that we will all find God and keep him in our hearts. Be Blessed and be a Blessing!
Description: Take a breath. Calm your mind. Count your Blessings. Psalm 23:1-3 “The Lord is my shepherd… He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.” May the Lord of ALL give you peace and I pray that you would follow the path where He guides you today.
Description: Are you ready for this? Jesus said, I will Be Right Back, so get ready! Luke 21:26-28 “...the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory…straighten up…because your redemption is drawing near.” This is real. He is coming back. Are you ready?
Description: What must we do to be saved? “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 This is pretty straight forward and God made this way for ALL of us to be saved. “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 That is what I call Love in ACTION! I pray that we would all accept the sacrifice of Jesus and that it would be the driving factor in our lives and our decisions.
Description: Did you see that!?! God is trying to reveal something to you, but if you turn a blind eye toward Him, you will miss it. Did you hear that!?! God wants to speak to your heart but if it is hardened, or you are not listening, you will miss it. “Blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.” Matthew 13:16 I pray that we all would be open to the things that God is trying to tell us and to show us. I pray that our faith will be real and evident to those around us.
Description: “Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:4-5 GOD’S MERCY is bigger than your mistakes. I pray that we all would ask for forgiveness and accept what Jesus has done for us and repent and change. Be Blessed and be a Blessing!
Description: We are called to be set apart. So if someone calls you a Jesus freak, that’s OK. 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” I pray that we would show others the goodness of God by the way that we live.
