Description: Take a breath. Calm your mind. Count your Blessings. Psalm 23:1-3 “The Lord is my shepherd… He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.” May the Lord of ALL give you peace and I pray that you would follow the path where He guides you today.
Description: Are you ready for this? Jesus said, I will Be Right Back, so get ready! Luke 21:26-28 “...the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory…straighten up…because your redemption is drawing near.” This is real. He is coming back. Are you ready?
Description: What must we do to be saved? “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 This is pretty straight forward and God made this way for ALL of us to be saved. “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 That is what I call Love in ACTION! I pray that we would all accept the sacrifice of Jesus and that it would be the driving factor in our lives and our decisions.
Description: Did you see that!?! God is trying to reveal something to you, but if you turn a blind eye toward Him, you will miss it. Did you hear that!?! God wants to speak to your heart but if it is hardened, or you are not listening, you will miss it. “Blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.” Matthew 13:16 I pray that we all would be open to the things that God is trying to tell us and to show us. I pray that our faith will be real and evident to those around us.
Description: “Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:4-5 GOD’S MERCY is bigger than your mistakes. I pray that we all would ask for forgiveness and accept what Jesus has done for us and repent and change. Be Blessed and be a Blessing!
Description: We are called to be set apart. So if someone calls you a Jesus freak, that’s OK. 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” I pray that we would show others the goodness of God by the way that we live.
Description: Find a quiet place. Take a moment to breathe. Connect with the creator of the universe. He cares for you. He wants the best for you, and He has something to say to you. In that quiet moment of stillness, don’t forget to listen. Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Thank you Lord for times of reflection and closeness with you.
Description: Read the bible - it will scare the HELL out of you! If you read the word of God you will see that what appears here as a funny and light hearted message is LITERALLY a matter of life and death. Right now you are in the middle of a battle between Heaven and Hell. The result of that war in your life is up to you and the stakes could not be higher. Trust in God and He will give you the victory. Spoiler Alert - Jesus wins!
Description: In Matthew 7:24-25 Jesus shared some wise words with us when He said: “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who builds his house on the rock. The rains came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” Then Christ flips it and shows what the consequences are for those that do not build their house / their lives, on Him. Matthew 7:26-27 “But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
Description: I fall on my knees to get back on my feet again This lyric from the Ten Shekel Shirt song “Healer” has stuck with me for a long time. A great way to get back up, is to fall on your knees. Ephesians 3:14-21 says “...I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.”
Description: He came back from the dead !?!! You better believe it. Mark 16:6 “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.” The cross is empty and the tomb is empty but my heart is full because my savior lives! I pray that we would live today and every day in the power of the resurrection of Christ.
Description: Death is not the end… It is only the beginning Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die” John 11:25 Jesus sacrificed and died for you. Jesus was raised up again for you. Jesus has made a way for you and only through Him can you be saved. Accept Him and be Blessed.
Description: “He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 Christ paid the price to atone for our sins. I pray that we would live each day as a way of thanking Jesus for His sacrifice.
Description: When we see a broken thing, God sees a way to make it even better. To God we are Beautifully Broken. Isaiah 61:3 “...bestow on them a crown of beauty - instead of ashes, the oil of joy - instead of mourning, and a garment of praise - instead of a spirit of despair.” I pray that we will have God’s eternal perspective so that when we see broken things, we will understand that He wants to make them even better!
Description: This one is for my good friend Mark Smith who recently posted the following on Facebook: “22 years ago on March 3, 2004 I saw the movie The Passion of the Christ and it changed my life completely. Even watching the trailer moves me to this very day. That day will forever be a day I will remember as the greatest day in my life. I’m thankful the Lord was patient with me and opened my eyes to the truth and that truth is that while I was still a sinner, Jesus came and died for me! Thank you Lord Jesus for your sacrifice and your love and for giving me the chance to know YOU!” Romans 5:8 reminds us that “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” YOU are the Passion of the Christ!
