Description: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 I pray that we would let our light shine before others today. Be Blessed and be a Blessing!
Description: “Come on my soul, don't you get shy on me. Lift up your song, ‘cause you've got a lion inside of those lungs. Get up and praise the Lord!” I love these words from the Brandon Lake song Graditude. I pray that we would remember that Jesus is the Lion of Judah and we would praise him with everything we have.
Description: Jentezen Franklin’s sermon “The Power of One Moment” explains that even though Sampson made a pivotal mistake, God did not write him off. Sampson prayed for a chance at redemption and as a result he is seen by God as a hero of the faith. Read the story in Judges 16 and the follow up in Hebrews 11:32 I pray that when we fall short, we would return and pray for another chance to be a Blessing.
Description: The Conversion of St. Paul on the Way to Damascus is a famous 1601 painting by Caravaggio. It shows a moment in biblical history where one of the great persecutors of the early Christian church had an encounter with Christ several years after the crucifixion. Please read about it in Acts chapter 9. God wants to get your attention. He wants YOU to DO SOMETHING, for the Love of God! In order to get the attention of this man he had to knock him off his high horse (literally) and strike him blind. Paul went on to be an amazing witness for Christianity and wrote much of the new testament.
Description: “Shine your light so all can see it - Lift it up 'cause the whole world needs it - Love has come, what joy to hear it - He has overcome, He has overcome”. I love these words from the David Crowder Band song SMS (Shine). Matthew 5:16 says “...let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” I pray that you would shine your light through us, and that even when the skies of our lives may be overcast we remember that you have overcome.
Description: Psalm 148:3 says “...praise him all you shining stars”. And Psalm 147:4-5 reminds us that “He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.” I pray that when we look up into the night sky we will marvel at God’s amazing creation. That we will get a glimpse of how big he is and how small we are.
Description: When we see a broken thing, God sees a way to make it even better. To God we are Beautifully Broken. Isaiah 61:3 “...bestow on them a crown of beauty - instead of ashes, the oil of joy - instead of mourning, and a garment of praise - instead of a spirit of despair.” I pray that we will have God’s eternal perspective so that when we see broken things, we will understand that he wants to make them even better!
Description: “My faith is bigger than all I can see.” This line from the song by the David Crowder Band called “Let me feel you shine” is a great reminder that God is BIGGER than our circumstances. Romans 8:28 “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” I pray that we would lean on you when we struggle to understand this world. We know we are called to higher things and that you are with us always!
Description: We are called to be set apart. So if someone calls you a Jesus freak, that’s OK. 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” I pray that we would show others the goodness of God by the way that we live.
Description: “Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me.” This line from the song by Jesus Culture called “One thing remains” is a great reminder of how God loves us with an unending love. I pray that we would live our lives secure in the knowledge that God will not give up on us!
Description: I for one feel Blessed to have been born an American and I thank God for my faith. Joshua 24:15 “...choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” I thank God for Blessing us and directing us to serve Him and to serve others.
Description: This line for the David Crowder Band’s song “How He Loves” really hits me! God’s grace is so vast, all encompassing and immeasurable that we just can’t wrap our heads around it. “If His grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.” John 1:16-17 “For out of His fullness we have all received grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” I pray that you would thank God for His grace today.
Description: Psalm 121:3 tells us that “...he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” Please pray for Israel today and remember God’s word in Genesis 12: 2-3 “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” I pray that you will STAND SOLIDLY WITH ISRAEL.
Description: Psalm 34:4 “I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” Dear Lord, help us to look to you when we have moments of weakness. Through your strength, let us be FEARLESS!

Description: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Our lives have many twists and turns. God wants to be that steady force in your life that gives you clear direction on a straight path. I pray that we would be sure to follow the path that God has set out for us.
Description: Jesus did not say: Go ye onto your couch and make an impression. What Jesus actually said was to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” This is the great commission as recorded in Matthew 28:19-20 It requires ACTION on our part. God is depending on US to get it done! I pray that we would make an impression on this world instead of simply making an impression on our couches.
Description: 1 Father + 1 Son + 1 Spirit = 1 Trinity 2 Corinthians 13:14 “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” This is simple math: 1+1+1=1 Help us Lord to walk today in the ways that you had ordained for us at creation. Help us to live as those sanctified by Christ. Help us to lean upon the power of the Spirit as we do your work!

Description: Revelations 1:7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”. Jesus is coming back. Will you be ready? I pray that we will not be caught off guard, but that we would be living our lives in preparation for the return of the king!
