Description: You can do NOTHING - apart from me. This may not seem like an encouraging word - but it is. It helps us to understand how dependent we are on God. John 15:5 tells us: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” I pray that we will call upon the Lord in all things and move in the direction that He leads us.
Description: John 11:35 is the shortest verse in the bible. It simply says: Jesus wept. This was after he learned that a friend had died. He wept because he became flesh and walked this earth to experience and understand the same feelings that you and I struggle with. He knows what you are going through. He wants to help you and he can because he came to overcome death and sin. And he did! I pray that we would live our lives as overcomers because of what Jesus has done for us.

Romans 3:23 tells us that “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” and Romans 6:23 goes even further to say that “the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.” So, you will die, but what are you going to do about it? What are you going to do about Jesus?

Description: Sometimes things do not go your way. Sometimes there are major obstacles to overcome. All too often we mess up. We fail. We fall down. We are human. The great theologian, Rocky Balboa, gives us some good advice about this: “It ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” When you find yourself in a difficult situation, press on. When you make a mistake, get up, dust yourself off and keep moving forward. Read the story of the Healing Pool in John chapter 5. Jesus asks, “Do you want to get well?” and then in verse 8 says, “Get up!” Dear Lord, help us to press in closer to you in our times of need. Meet us where we are and Bless us so that we can be a Blessing to others.

We really need to know our identity. “If you are in Christ, you are a new creation: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 You are who Jesus says you are! My prayer is that God will help us to know our true identity in Christ and help us to walk in His authority.
Description: “My faith is bigger than all I can see.” This line from the song by the David Crowder Band called “Let me feel you shine” is a great reminder that God is BIGGER than our circumstances. Romans 8:28 tells us that “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” I pray that we would lean on you when we struggle to understand this world. We know we are called to higher things and that you are with us always!
Description: Jesus I sing for all that you’ve done for me. This line from the Bethel Music song “This is Amazing Grace” puts in words the heart of true worship. Psalm 96:2 “Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.” Dear God, Give us hearts that seek to worship you fully.
Description: Your life should revolve around the Son. Colossians 3:23-24 tell us, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the LORD, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Even if your day is cloudy, the sun is still shining up there! I pray that we would always remember that our lives should revolve around the Son.
Description: I serve the King of all kings. Do you? Revelation 17:14 “They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.” You really need to do as it says in Joshua 24:14 and “choose for yourself this day whom you will serve…” We all need to make this choice for ourselves. Who is Jesus to you? The verse in Joshua goes on to say exactly what I say: “...as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” I pray that you will serve the one true King who is over all kings and all things.
Description: The BEST is yet to come! How can I say that in these troubling times? Even when things are not going well and there are trials and tribulations, we have faith that God is in control. If we lean on Him and move in the faith that we have in Him (that means to move in the way we are directed from God); then indeed we can stand firm in the knowledge that the best is in fact yet to come. 1 Corinthians 2:9 in the Living Bible tells us that “...no man has ever seen, heard, or even imagined what wonderful things God has ready for those who love the Lord.” If you live your life in the knowledge that then you can make it through the challenges because you understand that God is for you and He is with you.
Description: The world needs a Hero and YOU ARE THAT HERO! Jesus tells us in John 14:12 “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these…” God wants to empower you to do His work on this earth. He wants you to be His hands and feet to those in need. God wants to Bless you, so that you can be a Blessing to others. Be a Hero and give your life to something bigger than yourself.
Description: Do you have questions? That is OK. We all have questions. The longer I live, the more I ask, the deeper I search for answers… the more I realize this truth: JESUS is the answer. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Trust in Him and you will know a peace that transcends all understanding. Philippians 4:7
