Description: The South Carolina National Guard's 263rd ADA has the oldest battle honors, going back to the Revolutionary War and the Artillery Company of Charles Town. The unit saw service during the Mexican War, the Civil War (it was in Confederate service at Fort Sumter), and in Italy and France during WWII. More recently, the regiment has become the core of the 263rd AAMDC and has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Description: Created in 1989, the 233rd ADA has no battle honors. It stood down from the Arkansas National Guard and was transferred to Field Artillery during the Global War on Terror.

Description: The 213th ADA has campaign credits from the Mexican War, the Civil War, WWI and WWII. This Pennsylvania National Guard unit was most recently deployed to the Netherlands and Belgium in order to provide air defense against possible terror attacks in 2002. Since then the unit has been redesignated a Support Group and has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Description: The 202nd ADA's heritage goes back to WWI and WWII and the unit earned Croix de Guerre with Palm for its actions. This Illinois National Guard regiment was stood down during the Global War on Terror and converted to Cavalry.

Description: The 200th Air Defense Artillery was organized in New Mexico as a volunteer regiment to fight Indians and later served at the Battle of Santiago in Cuba during the Spanish-American War. They also saw combat during WWI, but it is WWII that saw the regiment enter into the history books and glory. By then the regiment was an antiaircraft unit deployed to the Philippines to prop up U.S. defenses on the island. Shortly after the attacks on Pearl Harbor the Japanese attacked Clark Field. Even though the antiaircraft guns of the New Mexico National Guard could not prevent the attack the Japanese did suffer losses. The gunners suffered later during the Bataan Death March. The regiment has had most of its units redesignated since 911.

Description: The battle record of the 174th ADA consisted of battle honors earned during the Civil War, WWI, and WWII. However, since the events of 911 the regiment has sent batteries to protect the National Capitol Region using Avenger and Stinger missile systems and has become the core of the 174th ADA Brigade. These battalions of the Ohio National Guard have protected Washington DC from another 911.

Description: The 138th ADA only goes back to the 1980s. Its National Guard units had little in the way of battle honors and was largely inactive until the Global War on Terror. Since then soldiers of the 1-138th (INNG) have served in GWOT and earned a citation.

Description: The 111th ADA's heritage goes back to the War of 1812, when its batteries defended Virginia against British invasion. The Civil War service of the regiment is traced along the Confederate side, as part of General Lee's Army of Northern Virginia. The unit served in WWI and WWII, and later became the core of the 111th Air Defense Artillery Brigade (NMNG), the foremost National Guard ADA unit, until that unit became a maneuver enhancement brigade in 2005.

Description: The service of the 62nd ADA goes back to the War of 1812 and the Mexican War. During the Civil War units saw service throughout Virginia and was at Manila during the Spanish-American War... and fought insurgents during the Philippine Insurrection. The unit served throughout Europe in WWII, saw service throughout the entirety of the Korean War and earned a Presidential Citation for the Inchon landings.

Description: The 56th ADA traces kits lineage back to one of the dedicated antiaircraft units organized in the 1920s to improve the Coast Artillery Corps' ability to defend the shores of the United States. Later, the 56th had units in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.
