Sika deer (Cervus nippon), spotted deer or Japanese deer is a deer species native to East Asia which has been introduced to many parts of the world, including England. Sika deer do not loose their spots upon reaching maturity, but in some subspecies these spots are rarely visible, as seen here. Their coat ranged from a reddish brown to black and occasionally individuals can be found with white fur. Stags have antlers, usually forked.

Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros) are large antelope found in East and South Africa, there are two species known as kudu, the greater kudu seen here and the lesser kudu. Kudu’s fur us either a grey brown or red brown, these animals have narrow bodies with long legs and vertical white stripes going across their bodies. Kudu have very large round ears and a white stripe going across the face between their eyes, males also have long twisted horns.

The fringed leaf frog, or fringed tree frog (Cruziohyla craspedopus) is an extremely vibrant species of frog with a beautiful green blue upper body, yellow sides blending into deep orange on the underbelly.

The ring-tailed lemur (Lemur catta) is the most famous species of lemur, well known for their long black and white striped tail, they have soft, thick fur which a greyish brown on the body and white cream underneath and on the face. Lemurs are a primate found only on the Island of Madagascar, many species of lemur are endangered.

The lanner falcon is a medium sized bird of prey or raptor found mostly in open country and savanna in parts of Europe and more widely in Africa. They are bred in captivity for falconry and prey on mostly birds and bats. There is around 40 species of falcon today, they are know for flying at high speed and have thin tapered wings to enable this. Lanner falcons are usually a slate grey or brown in appearance with lighter feathers giving a mottled effect, they also have yellow feet and legs and yellow patches on the face around the beak and eyes.
