Speed's father, Pops, (Daisuke Mifune) is a former wrestler-turned race car owner and builder. After quitting his job in a corporate car manufacturing company, he founded his own company, Mifune Motors. (In America, the company was changed to Racer Motors.) He is portrayed as a hothead who is overprotective of his family. His eldest son, Rex, ran away (although he would return as Racer X). In addition to Spritle and Chim-Chim, Pops' attitude is a running gag in the anime series as well as the live-action film. Overweight, he wears an athletic red shirt and a beige mechanic's cap. Despite his build, Pops is nearly unmatched in combat, as he was once a champion heavyweight wrestler.

Bud's Buds was an experimental management training group organized by Bud Askins within the broader Vault-Tec Corporation. The group's stated goal was to achieve an "absolute monopoly" by outliving and overpowering all other factions. In the words of Bud Askins himself, "The ultimate weapon of mass destruction is time." It was this group, through the introduction of the idea by Barb Howard at a meeting involving many corporate officials, that first envisioned experiments occurring in the Vaults, and later would result in the experiments being carried through.

After Vito is shot, Sonny and the rest of the Corleones are unable to make contact with Luca, but assume that this means that the brutal enforcer is already out looking for reprisal. Vault 33 is a Vault-Tec Vault in what was once Santa Monica in Los Angeles, California in the Fallout TV series. It is located next to the Santa Monica Pier. Lucy MacLean, one of the protagonists of the Fallout TV series, comes from the Vault and her father, Hank, is its overseer in 2296.

Ostensibly, the title of the magazine coalesced with the stated focus in the first issue, publishing "the unknown, path-breaking artist", allowing the new artist the opportunity to sweep away the old.

The last two issues carried the cover title of Beyond Fiction, but the publication's name for copyright purposes remained as before. The publication has been described by critics as a successor to the tradition of Unknown, a fantasy magazine that ceased publication in 1943. It was noted for printing fantasy with a rational basis such as werewolf stories that included scientific explanations.

Scholastic Corporation is an American multinational publishing, education, and media company that publishes and distributes books, comics, and educational materials for schools, teachers, parents, children, and other educational institutions. Products are distributed via retail and online sales and through schools via reading clubs and book fairs. Clifford the Big Red Dog, a character created by Norman Bridwell in 1963, is the mascot of the company.

Avon published three related magazines in the late 1940s and early 1950s, titled Avon Fantasy Reader, Avon Science Fiction Reader, and Avon Science Fiction and Fantasy Reader. Several RobCo products were the de facto choice for many consumers, such as the Unified Operating System used by nearly all terminals. The company's key products were robots, selling them to both the average American and producing them for the United States military through defense contracts. The production of robots would accelerate into the Automation riots, with RobCo's robots facilitating the massive loss of jobs to automation and further displacing working-class Americans.

The Brotherhood of Steel (commonly abbreviated to BoS) is a post-War technology-focused paramilitary order with chapters operating across the territory of the former United States. It was founded by rogue U.S. Army officer Captain Roger Maxson shortly after the Great War. The Brotherhood's core purpose is to preserve advanced technology and regulate its usage. This is because they believe humanity cannot be trusted with the means to destroy itself, and they acquire technology to prevent another apocalypse.

The fossil fuel market crash and the beginning of the Resource Wars in 2052 and the invention of practical fusion energy cells in 2066, Red Rocket expanded rapidly nationwide, offering fusion and coolant refilling services, as an early adopter, though gasoline and diesel continued to be sold throughout franchise locations, specifically to appeal to those who owned pre-atomic/non-converted vehicles. On the east coast, Red Rocket held a veritable monopoly on the market for this reason. Many of its gas stations had the capacity to refill nuclear engines.

The Sunset Sarsaparilla Company was founded in 1918, since becoming known across the former United States for its sarsaparilla flavored soft drink, advertised as "The Most Popular Beverage in the West!" By 2077, the soda's popularity had spread nationwide and into Canada, and was still holding strong despite competition from the Nuka-Cola Corporation's Nuka-Cola Wild, an attempt to replicate the soda's flavor and success.

Nuka-Cola is the flagship product of the Nuka-Cola Corporation and one of the symbols of United States culture. Introduced in 2044, it rapidly dominated the soft drink market, eventually becoming the most popular soda on the market and a staple of American culture. Bottled and distributed nationwide, Nuka-Cola was available in such numbers that even two centuries after the Great War put a stop to all major bottling operations, Nuka-Cola bottles can still be found in the wastelands in large quantities. In the aftermath of the Great War, Nuka-Cola bottle caps became the de facto currency in most post-War societies.
