Description: The Wood of Sharp Teeth, formerly called the Glimmerwood, was a dense forest south of the River Chionthar, southeast of Baldur's Gate and southwest of Scornubel. It was a wilderness except for Durlag's Tower on the forest's southern edge. Uldoon Trail ran to the south east of the wood.
Description: The Mere of Dead Men was a swampy area located along the Sword Coast North. The name "Mere of Dead Men" referred to the thousands of dwarves, elves, and humans of the Fallen Kingdom who were slain here during the invasion of an orc army. The Mere was located along the Sword Coast on the Sea of Swords between Neverwinter and Waterdeep. The High Road skirted its eastern edges on its way through the foothills of the Sword Mountains to the east. The nearest significant settlement was Leilon to the north.
Description: The Trackless Sea was the name of the ocean due west of the continent of Faerûn. The Trackless Sea ran from the Sea of Swords in the west to Maztica, where it was known as Taylola or the Eastern Ocean, and to Anchorome in the east. The sea also spanned north to the Sea of Moving Ice and south to the peninsula of Chult.
Description: Mithral Hall was a dwarven stronghold beneath Fourthpeak Mountain in the Frost Hills, part of the Spine of the World. It was one of the best known dwarven strongholds in Faerûn. Originally a mithral mine belonging to Clan Battlehammer, this underground town became a safe haven for various dwarf families and even some persons of other races. Mithral Hall had a long history of tragedy and triumph, and was the making and breaking of countless individuals.
Description: The Sword Coast, also nicknamed the Empty Lands, was the region in western Faerûn that lay along the coast of the Sea of Swords and extended inward into to the vale. The Sword Coast was an expansive tract of wilderness, dotted with independent cities and overrun by bands of monstrous creatures, that some saw as merely a place through which you had to travel in order to reach an actual meaningful destination.
Description: Waterdeep, also known as the City of Splendors or the Crown of the North, was the most important and influential city in the North and perhaps in all Faerûn. It was a truly marvelous cosmopolitan city of great culture that attracted the most talented artisans, artists, and scholars from across the Realms, as well as a commercial hub for financial interests along the coast and beyond. It was one of if not the most powerful and influential member-states of the Lords' Alliance, the coalition of nations and city-states that sought to maintain order along the Sword Coast and the North.
Description: Baldur's Gate, also called simply the Gate, was the largest metropolis and city-state on the Sword Coast, within the greater Western Heartlands. It was a crowded city of commerce and opportunity, perhaps the most prosperous and influential merchant city on the western coast of Faerûn. Despite its long-standing presence as a neutral power, the leaders of Baldur's Gate were members of the Lords' Alliance of powers in the west.
Description: Daggerford was a small but consequential town located in the Delimbiyr Vale within the greater Sword Coast. While it was primarily a farming community, and considered by some to be a mere stopover, the town had great ambitions to grow and be seen as an alternative to their northern neighbor of Waterdeep.
Description: The Spine of the World was a mountain range that stretched across the northwest region of Faerûn from the Cold Run near the Sea of Moving Ice, to the Ice Spires north of the Silver Marches. Folks all across the lands of the Savage Frontier and the Silver Marches, particularly those in Scornubel, referred to the Spine as "the Wall". On the winter days when the white snow covered faces of the peaks met the iron-gray of the sunless winter sky, it appeared as though the peaks were holding up sky. To others, it simply marked the end of the world as they saw it.
Description: Mirabar was a mining city of great wealth located on the Sword Coast. As of 1368 DR it was the richest city north of Waterdeep. In 1370 DR, the city was occupied by 1600 shield dwarves who lived underground near to their workshops, which produced metal goods for export in the region and beyond. The humans above cooperated with the dwarves to handle the mining, move the ore to market, and defend the city against magical threats. Mirabar was ruled by a hereditary marchion, but the true power was in an elected assembly called the Council of Sparkling Stones, a mixed dwarven and human group that met once a year to determine production quotas and whether or not to threaten current clients with reduced output.
Description: Skullport, also known as the Port of Shadows, was a subterranean city located far below Waterdeep, within the 3rd level of Undermountain known as the Sargauth Level. While rumors of this subterranean domain of villainy persisted throughout the surface world, few of its inhabitants had any knowledge of any points of entry.
Description: The Moonshae Isles were a collection of islands located west of the Sword Coast. Along the coasts, long flat beaches were found. Most lacked sand, and instead comprised pebbles and rocks. Tides were significant among the islands. At low tide, the beaches could be exposed as much as a quarter mile (400 meters) from the waterline. At high tide, the water line could rise up to 10 feet. During storms, the beaches were battered by waves. The coastlines of the islands were dotted with bays and coves, where ships could find a safe harbor from the harsh northern seas.
Description: The Sunset Mountains were a pair of mountain ranges separated by the Far Hills. Together with the Far Hills, they formed a high, almost impenetrable barrier between the Eastern and Western Heartlands, as well as forming the eastern edge of Sunset Vale. These mountains were home to a large number of tribes and humanoids. Some dwarven clans also lived in this region. Many of these dwarves traded in the town of Easting.
Description: The Frozenfar was the coldest, most remote region of the North. It comprised the Spine of the World mountains; the frigid lands to the north and west; including Icewind Dale, the Cold Run, the icebergs of the Sea of Moving Ice, and the northeasternmost part of the Trackless Sea.
Description: Shadowdale has a central town of about 2,000 people and the rest of the population, ten thousand or so more, farm the surrounding lands. It is ruled by Lord Mourngrym Amcathra, who has ruled for some time now. Shadowdale has belonged to many. In recorded history, the Drow held first possession and began the building the Twisted Tower, home to the rulers of the land. In 907 the Water Wizard Ashaba freed the Human population of surface slaves from the Drow and became ruler. The river is named after him.
Description: Neverwinter, also known as the City of Skilled Hands and the Jewel of the North, was a bustling, cultured, and cosmopolitan city-state in northwest Faerûn. Neverwinter was regarded by Volo as the most cosmopolitan and civilized city in all of Faerûn. The city was a member in good standing of the Lords' Alliance. Known for its craftsfolk and gardeners, the city's multi-colored-glass lamps, precision water clocks, exquisite jewelry, and magnificent gardens ensured the warm winters were colorful and the summers were rich with fresh fruit.

Description: The Underdark was the enormous system of subterranean caves, caverns, and tunnels located beneath the surface of Abeir-Toril. The Underdark was not one giant cavern under Faerûn, but rather many huge networks of caverns and caves. As a result, it was not always possible to travel from one end of the Underdark to the other.

Description: Pyloon's Saloon was a saloon situated at the mouth of Foothill Falls in Rambler's Reach Outpost on Koboh, and was owned and operated by Greez Dritus. The saloon was named after Dritus’ great-grandmother Pyloon. Pyloon’s was situated opposite Dendra’s Antiquities flanking the main street of the Outpost. The building was erected from stone and complimented with wooden decking and stairs with rusted red and yellow metal support foundations and roofing decor.

Description: Caelid is a Location and Region in Elden Ring. The Caelid region is located east of Limgrave. It's mainly defined by its red, corrupt environment and a great amount of undead roaming the open fields. A wasteland on the south-eastern tip of the Lands Between, plagued by Scarlet Rot and inhabited by all manner of malformed creatures. Caelid was the site of the battle between General Radahn and Malenia, Blade of Miquella, during which the first flower of Aeonia bloomed and covered the region in Scarlet Rot. Radahn's army, the Redmanes, continue to combat the rot using fire to this day.
Description: The Goon Docks is a neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon, where the Goonies live. The Goon Docks is the poorer part of Astoria. Blue-collar workers such as plumbers and fishermen live here with their families. Those who live in the richer "Hillside" area of town look down on the citizens of the Docks, usually referring to them as "Goonies". Irving Walsh lives in a house in the Goon Docks and is arguably the most successful man in the neighborhood, having a white-collar job as the curator of the local museum.

The Old Norse term “Midgard” literally translates to “middle yard” or “middle enclosure,” referring to its central position in the Norse mythical universe. Description: Delta Island is a small above sea level biome in Subnautica: Below Zero, and the location of Delta Station and the Communications Tower. The biome is surrounded by the Thermal Spires, Purple Vents and Tree Spires. Koppa Mining Site is located underneath the island, with entrances found near its coast.
Description: The Crater is the area in which the main story of Subnautica takes place. The Crater and Sector Zero are the two major ecosystem centers known on Planet 4546B. The area is the crater of a huge, long-dormant undersea volcano approximately three kilometers in height and varies from 3.3 to 4.3 kilometers in diameter. After the volcano became dormant the crater was filled in by sediments and the once volatile volcano became the center of a diverse and thriving ecosystem.
Description: The Inactive Lava Zone is a cavernous biome located 900 meters below the surface. It is the second deepest biome and the penultimate area in Subnautica. The Inactive Lava Zone is characterized by large, arching structures and walls of hardened lava with occasional steaming lava falls. It is composed of two distinct areas and can be found at 900 to 1300 meters down, well below the limit of a Seamoth (even when equipped with a Seamoth Depth Module MK3) - making an upgraded Cyclops and Prawn Suit the only vehicles to be able to navigate through it.

Description: The Shimmer is the main antagonist of the science fiction horror mystery book Annihilation and its 2018 film adaptation. It is a mysterious extraterrestrial entity that arrives on Earth via meteorite and begins scrambling and combining the DNA of everything it touches. Its humanoid form was portrayed by Sonoya Mizuno via motion-capture, who also portrayed Katie in the film.
Description: Dagobah is a Planet in the Star Wars universe. It is an Outer Rim Planet in the Dagobah system. It hosts no intelligent life, and is considered to be a remote world of swamps and forests. Though it lacks civilization, it's still a home for a diverse animal population, amphibious creatures, and an indigenous population of massive, and mysterious lifeforms. These creatures range from vine snakes, and bogwings, to sleens, and nudj. Jedi Grand Master Yoda sought refuge on the planet during the great Jedi Purge, and died there whilst talking to Luke Skywalker.
