Description: A slow loris taking a slow stroll through the surreal version of Denver. This painting was inspired by watching all these adorable videos of slow lorises being stroked and petted ever so gently as they hold tiny umbrellas. And the background is a variation of a picture of a parking lot in Denver Colorado that I took. This painting was also completed at a time when I was looking for a slightly new approach to backgrounds. So as you can tell I was experimenting a bit. #artJWB #SlowStrollLoris #JacobWayneBryner

Description: This particular piece was very cathartic when I pieced it together. It was after a long run of pet portraits and political paintings so it was nice to kind of just let the creative process take over. It’s basically a few of my favorite things thrown together. 70s fashion photography, penwork, big red circle ?, decoupage, and a Dilophosaurus. I drew the Dino in a style that I really enjoy which is looking at a source image but not looking down at the canvas. Just trusting your hand to go where it goes. After that the tail and the rest of the painting was just a painterly dream. It was initially going to be called “FIERCE” but I liked the tag “my soulmate 93’. Description: It was certainly frustrating and exciting only painting with a spoon ?. Near the end though I was getting glimpses of texture I’m not sure I’ve produced before which kept me going all day yesterday. I debated about switching to a brush for the rainbow petaled tears but by that point I decided to take one word out of that famous Matrix line but say it to myself with the same zen like conviction,.. “There is spoon” #artJWB #LaMaquinaQueOye
