Water Pump is a sepia tone photographic art print of an old barn located in the Amana Colonies. I was on a photo shoot of farms around the Amana Colonies in Eastern Iowa. I love the focal point of this shot, which is the manual water pump located close to the stables to supply the needed water for the animals. I used a sepia tone finish on the photograph for that old rustic look. The sepia brown tones originated with film photography as part of the process to develop the prints in the 1800’s. Today, we can recreate that same vintage look digitally.

Walking Up The Pyramid is a sepia tone photographic art print. It captures the steep steps of the Kukulkan pyramid in the center of the Chichen Itza complex found in the middle of the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. What makes this picture a little unique is the foot traffic going up the side of the pyramid. The steps are narrow and steep. Going up isn't too bad, coming down is the challenge. The pyramid is now closed to foot traffic and has been for a number of years. I would assume accidents and mishaps forced the restriction. Having done the climb myself, I would attest to the ease of potential mishaps.
