Otte Wallish (1906-1977) was born in Austria-Hungary, and Ernst Mechner (1895-1956) was born in Germany. Wallish had a graphic design studio in Tel Aviv where he designed Israeli’s first postage stamps and many iconic posters encouraging Aliyah. Mechner designed posters for the JNF, Histadrut, Tnuva and others. They are jointly credited on many designs. Using a variety of graphic design tools, I created a restored and enlarged reproduction of this historical Israeli poster, based on a rare photo of the original poster in an archive.

This silkscreened poster was a recruitment/appeal to Jewish youth to support the establishment and defense of settlement outposts, by Keren Hayesod and youth movements.
