Steven Pesach Ir-Sahi (1896-1968) was a Hungarian-born Israeli graphic designer, painter, and typographer who played a pivotal role in shaping visual culture in early Israeli society. After making Aliyah from Budapest, he became one of the leading figures in Israel’s poster design. The poster is in the Bauhaus style and links the pioneer with the country’s development. Using a variety of graphic design tools, I created a restored and enlarged reproduction of this historical Israeli poster, based on a rare photo of the original poster in an archive.

This design represents this eternal poem and the none ending suffering of the Palestinian people all over the world, who keep their own culture to be original as the owner of the homeland, they have to live in tent of the camp, and they challenge the threats that can lose their existence. They show that they exist and stay in the land even their life is not cushioned as human being and maintain their identity although they have been chase away from their state. Whatever the condition is, Palestinian will always stand solid to save and protect their country. Palestine will be free.

Franz Krausz (1905-1998) was one of Israel’s most accomplished poster artists. Austrian-born, he made Aliyah to Tel Aviv in 1934. He created hand-painted gouache posters characterized by vivid colors and bold typography. This poster was part of a broad effort to promote Aliyah (immigration) and agrarian settlement during the British Mandate. The woman embodies nurturing and the pioneering spirit. Using a variety of graphic design tools, I created a restored and enlarged reproduction of this historical Israeli poster, based on a rare photo of the original poster in an archive.
